On May 9, the Hororata Community Trust will host its famous Hororata Glow Festival.

The festival's executive director, Cindy Driscoll, said 14,000 people attended the most recent edition in 2019, an "overwhelming response" for the second event since it began in 2018. To balance audience size and Covid-19 criteria, this year's attendance will be reduced to 10,000.

Night Glow, the hot air balloon, will light up the sky again. When these massive balloons shimmer in unison to music*, be amazed. People would walk inside a giant cold inflated hot air balloon and interact with the balloon crews before the Night Glow performance. A dazzling lighting effects demonstration of DJ Craig Shaw spinning the tunes is new for 2021.
