The New York Knicks defeated the Dallas Mavericks 117-109 on Friday night, with Julius Randle scoring 44 points in his hometown.
Randle outplayed Porzingis (23 points, 12 rebounds) and Luka Doncic when going 16-for-29 and ending one point short of his career-best (22 points, 19 assists) and got over 30 points for the third game in a row.
He looked to be slipping recently, with the extended minutes taking their toll, but he's now fired up and in his A-game. Alec Burks, who joined the league's COVID procedures on Friday, was not in the lineup for the Knicks. Derrick Rose came to the party and scored 15 points in 25 minutes. RJ Barrett scored 24 points in 46 minutes of action. Nerlens Noel, who had been out with an ankle injury the previous game, returned to blocked three attempts, including a stunning fourth-quarter dunk attempt by Dorian Finney-Smith.
